THE WHAT? Procter & Gamble’s Board of Directors has declared a quarterly dividend of US$0.87 per share, payable from August 16, 2021.
THE DETAILS The dividend will be paid on both Common Stock shareholders of record at the close of business on July 23, 2021, and to Series A and Series B CESOP Convertible Class A Preferred Stock shareholders at the start of business on July 23, 2021.
P&G has been paying a dividend for 131 consecutive years since its incorporation in 1890 and has increased its dividend for 65 consecutive years.
THE WHY? The US FMCG manufacturer said that the pay out demonstrated its commitment to returning value to shareholders.
