THE WHAT? Kao Salon Division has announced that Dominic Pratt, formerly Vice President R&D, Skin Care Products Research, will succeed Cory Couts as Global President, Kao Salon Division, effective September 1, 2021.

THE DETAILS Couts is leaving the company after nine years in the role, based in Germany, to return to the US, his home country.

Pratt has a long history in the Kao Salon Division, having been a member of the Executive Salon Lead team and lead the unit’s R&D efforts for many years.

THE WHY? Satoru Tanaka, President Consumer Products, AEMEA, commented, “We would like to thank Cory for his outstanding contribution to our global Salon business. During his tenure, Cory has transformed the Salon business by creating clear strategies, strengthening our brands and refining our organization, always focusing on salons first and foremost.
