Injectable aesthetics reviews. Herbal Essences and TerraCycle partner in scheme to plant trees and donate benches

THE WHAT? Procter & Gamble-owned Herbal Essences has teamed up with TerraCycle in a new partnership named ‘Renew the Forest,’ which will see the planting of more than 60,000 trees and the instalment of 20 benches made out of recycled hair care packages.

THE DETAILS The benches will be placed in three natural preserves maintained by The Nature Conservancy (TNC), while the trees will be planted throughout the U.S. 

The move follows the pledge by Herbal Essences to plant one tree for every two bottles of select bio:renew shampoo or conditioner purchased at Walmart in the U.S. during the month of April. The company exceeded the 58,000 goal and will now plant 61,329 trees through the TNC’s Plant a Billion Trees program. 

THE WHY? The partnership aims to increase and sustain biodiversity, with a focus on helping preserve the planet for future generations. 

Rachel Zipperian, Herbal Essences Senior Scientist, said, “Plants underpin all life on Earth and tangible renewal is necessary to sustain biodiversity. We are proud to partner with TerraCycle and The Nature Conservancy to carry out business practices that directly enhance natural environments for communities to enjoy.”
