THE WHAT? Huda Beauty Founder Huda Kattan has invested in sexual and feminine wellness brand Ketish via her investment fund, HB Angels. 

THE DETAILS Ketish was founded by Emaan Abbass, a former Huda Beauty employee, with the HB Angels incubator working with Abbass to bring the brand to market. 

The venture is the first for HB Angels, an angel investment fund that falls under HB Investments.

Ketish will launch in mid August on ketish.com and hudabeauty.com, with Abbass planning to build a community where women are comfortable talking about topics they have queries about and to help close the ‘education gap’ regarding feminine health. 

THE WHY? Talking to WWD.com, Kattan noted that she supports Ketish’s goal of breaking down stigmas around women’s sexual wellbeing. 

Having known Kattan for several years, Abbass said, “I have been a huge fan of Huda’s for years. She was the first influencer that looked like me and had a similar experience, she grew up in the states, she was Middle Eastern, I felt like there was a piece of me in her.”

Talking about the selection process, Kattan said, “The more she talked about it, I was like, ‘oh my God, this is a really interesting and sexy brand. This has a very personal touch for me, I was very much betting on emotion … I have my own stories of shame, so I felt like my story was within her.”
