Injectable aesthetics reviews. Boots releases part of Nottingham site for new housing development

THE WHAT? Walgreens Boots Alliance has released part of its Nottingham site for residential development, according to a report published by The Construction Index.

THE DETAILS The pharmacy chain has appointed Ilke Homes to produce a model village that will become its flagship site and deliver 505 pre-fabricated houses and 117 apartments, subject to planning consents. The development is being described as the UK’s largest low-rise modular housing site.

THE WHY? Although the region has been earmarked for housing since 2014, this is the first time Boots has released any part of the site. Presumably, with the pandemic cementing home working practices, the Walgreens Boots Alliance-owned drugstore is predicting dampened demand for office space. Mark Chivers, Boots UK Director, told The Construction Index, “Because of the historical significance of this site, and everything it represents in terms of our company heritage it was vital that we find the right partner. I am pleased the site will be put to good use and look forward to seeing a thriving community emerge there in the coming years.”
