THE WHAT? The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) has continued its leadership overhaul, promoting Sue Fox to the position of President, United Kingdom, Ireland, effective immediately. 

THE DETAILS Fox has moved on from her previous role as Senior Vice President and General Manager, U.K. and Ireland, and will continue to report to Cedric Prouvé, Group President, International, in her new position. 

Having been with the company for 26 years, Fox has held numerous leadership roles globally, including General Manager of Japan and Managing Director of South Africa.

She has also driven the company’s Inclusion, Diversity & Equity commitments, establishing a new regional governance structure with a Regional Diversity Council and Inclusion & Diversity Circle, as well as leading the region’s COVID-19 Relief Efforts Programme. 

THE WHY? The new appointment follows further promotions of ELC’s global management team earlier in the month, indicating an overall leadership shake-up for the company and its brands. 

Discussing the promotion, Prouvé said, “Sue has been instrumental in leading exciting retail innovation and establishing new models of omnichannel distribution for the U.K. and Ireland. 
“An authentic, energetic and inclusive leader, Sue is driven by culture and values as much as results. I know that her expertise and strategic focus will continue to empower the U.K. and Ireland region to deliver outstanding success.”
